If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

Prompt Response: If I had to write a poem about myself I would most definitely be about what is going on in my life now since what is going on more now is better than reminiscing on what happened in the past. Confronting your feelings now is better than just waiting around and not doing anything about it and letting it just marinate in your head. I've been very busy and something like a poem probably clear many of the things that I'm busy with and let up some time for my thoughts. Maybe making a poem about my life would be a good idea and clear up the many things that I have going on with my life. Summary: Today we read an article about hiking etiquette and the importance of it. Reflection: Maybe its time for me to start doing an activity so I can just ride my head of any bad or stress inducing thoughts, maybe its for the better.

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Prompt Response: When I'm in a mood that is undesirable I usually just listen to music on my phone. Nothing is more relaxing than just listening to music and clearing you mind of anythings that may be bothering you. Thankfully doing this has been very beneficial to controlling my emotions very well and not doing something that I may regret later. Summary: Today we didn't do much other than present the PowerPoint we had on chapter 6. Reflection: Being focused on something else instead of one primary thing that isn't giving you the best time if often better than the thing bothering you.

Write about something you’ve outgrown but still miss.

Prompt Response: I always used to love going to the park but now I guess I could say I've outgrown it. My source of fun now if a whole lot more different then it was before as now I primarily hang out with my friends and believe me it is still fun, as fun as going to the park when I was younger but I'm busy working and doing other things in the little time I actually have. Oh how I wish I can return to the time where I didn't have to be so busy with the things I have to do. Summary: Today we worked on writable regarding chapter 7 of Wild by Cheryl Strayed Reflection: Its great to reflect on the past, dig up some old memories and its important to cherish them as you don't know if that is something you can relive again.

Write about something that you heard that you wish you could unhear.

Prompt response: I will not go into details on what I had heard but recently I have heard a rumor about a certain someone and it was one of the more weirder rumors that I have heard in a while. I was in my 3rd period class and my friend came up to me and said that his sister told him what she had seen and it was one of the more gross things I have heard in a while. If I could do anything about it I would probably want to not hear something like that again since that was one of the more uncomfortable moments I've had in a good while. Summary: Today, we worked on a PowerPoint presentation on chapter 6 of Wild by Cheryl Strayed. Reflection: Sometimes its best to try not to hear many things even if it you weren't intended to hear it you are better off ignoring it.

Much of this section focuses on Cheryl’s physical exhaustion and discomfort. Describe a moment when your body limited what you could do, and explain what that experience taught you about your mental strength.

Prompt response: A couple of years ago, I was in weight training, and on this day, we were supposed to max out weights, which meant that we had to test the max amount of weight you can lift on the bench press. At the time I maxed out with 25 pounds on both sides of the bar, and I was able to bench press it, and I thought that I could do more weight, so I increased it to 30 pounds and turned out that I couldn't do it. My body limited me to being able to do 25 pounds when I thought I could do more than 25. Summary: Today, we read the first 10 pages of Chapter 6 from the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed Reflection: Sometimes you have to listen to yourself and know your own limits because sometimes it'll come back to get you.

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Prompt Response: One time, I was out in public with my friends, and we went to a plaza, and at some point, we split up and went to find some stuff for each other. I felt like i didnt know what to do as I was by myself wandering alone. I didn't know what to do as I was just alone and had to find something to occupy myself. Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Reflection: I love being at home and feel the most peace there, as I can have fun with dogs and family.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response: One time, there was a class project that we had to make a chair in the engineering class. My partner, whom I was paired with by my teacher I happened to be sick the next day, and he had to build the chair by himself. The next day, I felt very bad as he did a majority of the work, and I offered to do the rest of it with him because it was like he built the entire chair. Summary: Today in class, we had to read chapter 2 of Wild by Cheryl Strayed, and we had to write 7 unfamiliar words as homework. Reflection: Sometimes relying on other people isn't the best thing to do; relying on another person to do something for you can lead to bad feelings and can lead to some tensions.

In Wild, Cheryl Strayed writes about the difference between deciding to do something and actually committing to it: “There was the first, flip decision to do it, followed by the second, more serious decision to actually do it.” Reflect on a time in your own life when you made a quick or casual decision that later required a deeper commitment. Describe what changed between the first decision and the moment you realized you truly had to follow through. What fears, challenges, or responsibilities became real once the decision was no longer just an idea?

Prompt Response: One time in my engineering class, we had a catapult project, and we were able to choose the type of catapult. My group and I chose the most challenging one because we thought it would be easy. We later realized that the specific catapult we chose was incredibly challenging, as it had too many working parts and the instructions weren't as clear. Summary: Today in class, we started reading chapter 1 of the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed Reflection: Sometimes, there are choices that you have to make with more commitment and cannot just make a decision on a whim.
