 Today we learned about the different claims that can be used in an argument. The claims were claims of facts, claims of values, and claims of policy each meaning different subjects in a claim. Then we worked on 3 out of 6 question worksheets and had to show our views on the prompts shown and we had to show 2 different views of showing whether we were for it or against it.

 Today, Mr Rease was absent so a substitute was in and we had to do a Newsela assignment while Mr. Rease was out. The Newsela assignment was about how turning to Google for medical advice can be harmful in some ways as they aren't getting examined by a real doctor to find out their symptoms, rather than that people will just consult google to get their advice there. The problem with this is that many people confuse their symptoms with other symptoms, leading to more mistakes than actually correcting the initial problem. 

 Today, we wrote on a piece of paper our own clusters, and Mr. Rease gave us prompts we had to choose from and make our clusters about, after making our clusters we then made our first drafts on paper about the topic that we selected in class, we had to make a 2 paragraph draft that consisted of 7 sentences in each and we had to complete and turn in at the end of the class period.

Today in class we were writing on paper about the Writing Process. We filled out the 5 different steps in the writing process the steps being Pre-writing, Draft, Revising, Editing, And presenting. those were the 5 different skills shown in the writing process. Next, we drew a cluster of topics and the sub-topics that derive from the main topic. 

 Today we continued working on the 20 quotes from Emily Dickinson. The 20 quotes were analyzed and typed on a quiz on the Illuminate testing site. These quotes are from different poems by Emily Dickinson one of the quotes I have noticed was from the poem "I felt a Funeral, in my Brain". I was able to complete analyze 18 out of the 20 quotes. what we were supposed to analyze was the Quote itself, The topic, the Theme, the Conflict, and the analysis of the actual poem.

 Today we worked on analyzing quotes from Emily Dickinson. This poem was about "Success", The picture of the notes will be posted down below.

 Today we analyzed another poem from Emily Dickinson. We took notes in class and analyzed the poem's deeper meanings. What we wrote about the poem was about mental illness. Many aspects of the poem talk about how her brain was going through a "funeral". what it meant was that she had a mental disease saying how her mind was going numb and talking about the "Heavens".
