Why do you think filmmakers continue to use stereotypes, even when they can be harmful or inaccurate? Explain one reason discussed in class and give your opinion on whether this justifies their use.

Prompt Response: Filmmakers use stereotypes because they are a fast and easy way to tell a story without explaining too much. Studios often stick to these old ideas because they are afraid that new or different characters might not make enough money. Many times, the people making the movies do not realize they are being unfair because they do not have diverse voices helping them write the script.
Summary: I went on a field trip to Kennesaw Mountain with Mr. Rease
Reflection: I feel like filmmakers keep using the stereotypes because its just the easiest way to make a story and they roll with it too because most people tolerate it.
