Think about the most stereotypical film you have ever seen. This could be a movie that represents a specific culture, race, gender, or group in an oversimplified or unrealistic way. In your response, explain what film you are referring to, what stereotypes were present in the film, and how those stereotypes shaped your understanding of that group at the time

Prompt response: Disney's movie Aladdin shows the Middle East in a way that is not very realistic or fair. It uses tense music and overall mean characters to make the desert seem like a very dangerous and strange place. This made me think as a kid that everyone from that part of the world was either a villain or a thief instead of seeing them as normal people.
Summary: Today we learned more about stereotypes in film.
Reflection: The way people are represented in film seem very unorthodox and a low hanging fruit as it rubs in the the most common stereotypes for that particular culture that's being represented.
