Hair can be a powerful way people express who they are and where they come from. Think about your own hair, your style, texture, or how you choose to wear it. How does your hair connect to your culture or your identity? Describe a moment when your hair made you feel proud, uncomfortable, or misunderstood, and explain why.

Prompt response: Hair can be a powerful thing as it sticks with you all the time. The way its textured and styled can express your personality in some aspects. My hair is black and somewhat wavy and about everyone in my family also has black and wavy hair too. It connects with my culture as it portrays your identity and heritage. Sometimes my hair has been real messy and I felt real embarrassed by it but then I decided cut it because it used to be real long and I feel so much more relieved as it felt like a burden has
been lifted from my shoulders.

Summary: Today, we are learning on how hair can represent identity and your culture.

Reflection: I never knew that hair of all things can represent your culture, I thought food was absurd but who knows.
