Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response: Writing these similes and metaphors weren't hard per se only that it was just a little tough trying to think of them. Once I knew what I wanted it just kept on getting easier to write them. I wrote about many different things with the topics provided and was still able to keep the message I was trying to give concise and intentionally vague in a way that I didn't want to reveal much about myself. This assignment was honestly a kind of relief since I knew I didn't have to try as hard as I thought I was.
Summary: Today, we created our own metaphors and similes in class that reflects kind of who we are.
Reflection: Sometimes writing out your struggle and growth as any figurative language would relieve some of the stress that's been lingering.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
