Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt Response: About a year or two ago I had an uncle that had passed and the last thing that I heard him talking was a voicemail that was played for the whole family on Thanksgiving and it was him talking to one of my aunts telling her to hope she has a fun time over at thanksgiving.

Summary: Today what was learned? Unfortunately we had a virtual day for school and what I did was my work for other classes and this class. 

Reflection: We did chapters 16-19 on A Lesson Before Dying. It can really show how a man can change over a period when he knows he is going to die soon and it feels so surreal as a heavy topic can be put into a book and make it feel very realistic.

Prompt response: As I have grown older, I realize now that the holidays have really changed much with me. Just like Christmas, when I was really young, I would always wish to Santa like many people did, but at somepoint we all find out that santa isnt real and that just happens in life. What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

Prompt response: My strength as a speaker is my ability to speak clearly and concisely. However, I sometimes stumble over my words when presenting. What did we do in class? Absent, sorry. What can I reflect on? Speaking in front of people has got to be hard, right? How does it feel to be a spokesperson for a major company? How do they do it? How do they have the courage to speak in front of a large crowd?

Prompt Response:   After hearing the storymaps from other classmates the one that stood out to me was Orlandos. I liked the many pictures he put of his childhood, many other people didnt do that and its nice that he can include the tidbits like that to enhance the performance of such a presentation. Summary: The class presented storymaps. Reflection:   Many classmates of mine really do have different stories to tell, they went through different things than I have and that is a little bit surprising to me.
