 Today, we worked on a worksheet about claims. On the sheet, we had to find claims about the topics we were given, figure out what types of claims they were, and write out an opposing claim to the original claim. That was the work given out and was worked on for the whole block period.

Prompt response: As I have grown older, I realize now that the holidays have really changed much with me. What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

Prompt response: My strength as a speaker is my ability to speak clearly and concisely. However, I sometimes stumble over my words when presenting. What did we do in class? Absent, sorry. What can I reflect on? Speaking in front of people has got to be hard, right? How does it feel to be a spokesperson for a major company? How do they do it? How do they have the courage to speak in front of a large crowd?

After hearing your classmates’ storymap presentations, choose one classmate’s story that stood out to you. Write about what you liked or learned from their journey and explain why it was meaningful to you.

Prompt Response:   After hearing the storymaps from other classmates the one that stood out to me was Orlandos. I liked the many pictures he put of his childhood, many other people didnt do that and its nice that he can include the tidbits like that to enhance the performance of such a presentation. Summary: The class presented storymaps. Reflection:   Many classmates of mine really do have different stories to tell, they went through different things than I have and that is a little bit surprising to me.
