The color purple final project items

Image
These are the 7 items I brought for my presentation for The Color Purple Identity Bag Project. My project revolved around Albert /Mr.____ man of these items i brought all revoloved around Alberts early life and redemption of himself.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

Prompt Response: My growth throughout this semester I found it to be very helpful as it was a fun class in general as I got to fit in and discuss many things with my peers. Many of the projects we have done were fun. I really enjoyed the projects we did on paper, as many of them were very easy to do, and it isn't hard to do your work, and if you just get them done, then you are fine. One of the areas I need to improve in is procrastination. I have many things to juggle, such as jobs and chores, yet I never find the time to do my work for the class, but I will always prioritize the work now. I would like to exempt the final next year. Summary: Absent  Reflection: Next semester and next year my main goal is to graduate. That is one of the biggest goals I'd assume every senior will have, but this is something I take seriously.

Many holidays center around traditions. Describe one tradition that is important to you or your family and explain why it still matters (or why it no longer does).

Prompt response: One tradition that we do is to commemorate those who came before us. Last year on Thanksgiving, what we did was play a voicemail that my uncle, who had passed away the year prior, left on thanksgiving and listening to the voicemail was one of the saddest but also one of the happiest things that I have heard, as I got to hear my uncle's voice one more time, ever since the day he passed. This tradition we do is so very important to us as it shows how we should always appreciate our loved ones all the time. Summary: Today, we completed the film and novel comparison of the movie The Color Purple. Reflection: I like to reflect on what we as a family do together, as it is always important to love your family and communicate with them often. I know that i havent spoken to many of them as the years go by, but hopefully this Christmas that will change for the better.

How have the holidays changed as you have grown older? Compare your experiences of the holidays during childhood with how you experience them now, focusing on shifts in perspective, responsibilities, or emotional meaning.

Prompt response: As I have grown older, I realize now that the holidays have really changed much with me. Just like Christmas, when I was really young, I would always wish to Santa like many people did, but at somepoint we all find out that santa isnt real and that just happens in life. I appreciate Christmas just as much as I did when I was a kid, as it is a time for gift giving and joy for the whole family. Summary: Today, we as a class all watched the movie The Color Purple and compared both the book and the film's scenes to see the difference. Reflection: I now know that all holidays we celebrate grow with us, and I find that to be great, as it shows that even at anytime or age you can still enjoy holidays.

Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

Prompt response: The hidden letters in the trunk shape what I think of Mister. I find him to be a rude and manipulative man. He hid all those letters from Celie from his sister Nettie, which I find to be one of the many glaring reasons to distrust Mister. It would be perfectly justified to leave Mister behind and flee with Shug as who would want to live with a man who was as manipulative as him. Summary: Today, Mr Rease was not here, but we worked on critical thinking questions and did homework reading on letters 66-70 Reflection: Celie in the book deals with many things, most of which a negative experiences for her, and it is perfectly justified.

In Letters 46–50, Celie begins to see Albert more clearly—his flaws, his regrets, and the ways he changes when he is no longer in complete control of her. Their relationship slowly shifts from fear and dominance to honesty and distance. Write about a relationship in your life that changed over time as you grew older or more aware. What made the dynamic shift, and how did your understanding of that person evolve?

Prompt response: At some point, I had a friend back in middle school I used to think that he was a great friend, but now that I think about it he truly wasn't that great of a person. He used to be disruptive in class, never do work, and even be rude to other people around him, and I used to think that it was funny. Now that I am older, I realize that it was kind of foolish to hang around people like that. Summary: Today, we read letters 51 through 60 in the book A Color Purple. Reflection: Always hang out with those who respect you and those whom you respect. Those people will be the ones who will stick with you.

Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

Prompt response: I was thankful that I had time to spend with my family, and the life I live is the best thing that I can have. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for the things you have in your life, and it shouldn't be taken for granted. Fall break was very fun. I was able to hang out with my friends and hang out with my family, which I love very much. Summary: Today, we worked on a worksheet discussing letters 46-50. Reflection: Fall break was a nice refresher to have, but now it's time to get ready for the finals.
