Describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about.

Prompt response: Every Valentine's Day I go to my grandparents' house to visit them not because of Valentine's Day per se but because my grandmother's birthday is on Valentine's Day, it is perfect because of the day tt is on. Valentine's day is a day of love and joy and that is truly special and amplified due to the day being the birthday of my relative and a day like that can never get any more perfect than that. What did we do in class today? We continued to work on our PowerPoint presentation in class and I completed mine and turned it in after that we had a free period to work on any other assignment if we had to. Reflection: I do not know what to think of currently but I can reflect on the day that is today valentines Day which is my grandmothers birthday and I cannot wait to visit her later today.

What is your American Dream? What do you like most about America?

Prompt response: My American dream is to get a high-paying job and get a home that I can live the rest of my life in. What I like about America is the many opportunities and chances that are given to all people and the chances that you are given to succeed. What did we do in class? We read Langston Hughes: Let America Be America Again, It is a poem about the many people of different races and ethnicities who are not realizing that the American dream obtainable but the people are not reaching out to obtain their American dream. What can I reflect upon? All I can reflect upon is my future after graduation, I want to have a good paying job, I want to have a good home, and I want a good future for myself but all of that can only be obtained when I truly understand my worth.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

Prompt response: What life skills have I learned to eventually lead my life in the future after graduation? Certainly, the ability to speak in public crowds is a skill that everyone should really have as it can play an important role in deciding what job you can get and what life you can lead one day. What did we do in class? What we did in class was work on a newsela about whether the Bill of Rights is updated to the current standards of America. What can I reflect upon? I can reflect on my life in the future, It has been a real eye-opener if you decide to think about your future as you don't know what lies ahead of you in the future.

What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

Prompt response: My strength as a speaker is my ability to speak clearly and concisely. However, I sometimes stumble over my words when presenting. What did we do in class? Absent, sorry. What can I reflect on? Speaking in front of people has got to be hard, right? How does it feel to be a spokesperson for a major company? How do they do it? How do they have the courage to speak in front of a large crowd?

Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

Prompt response: I once had to speak in front of my whole class for my first presentation ever in the 5th grade. It was a weird experience, though I was still able to pull through. The presentation was about a biography of former president Lyndon B. Johnson, I was in the front of the classroom and started explaining away yet I had a weird pain in my throat like that if I couldn't speak and it was hard to even speak. So I just paused there and pretended to read my presentation and then I cleared my throat and started to present my project. although that worked I feared that my other presentations that I would have to do it would be the same, that same day I would talk to myself when I was alone and that would help me with my confidence. to this day when I present I still stutter over my words occasionally but then I remember my exercises and I just clear my voice and keep presenting.  What did we do in class? sorry, but I was absent. Reflection: Although I was absent today, I did le...
